BBC’s hit show The Traitors returned for its fourth episode on Wednesday (8th January) night, and some fans were left confused over one contestant.
The Traitors is a show that focuses on manipulation, mind games, and faithfuls figuring out who the undercover traitors are in a bid to leave with a prize pot worth up to £120,000.
In the latest instalment, Kas was voted out as other contestants believed him to be a traitor. Kas became a target after other contestants pointed out that his intelligence could make him a good traitor.

In his exit speech, he tricked the remaining faithfuls into thinking they’d successfully found a traitor, before dropping the bombshell that he was, in fact, a faithful leading to an emotional reaction in the room.
Although there was uproar on social media from fans about Kas being banished, another name gave viewers food for thought, as some questioned who this contestant actually was.
At the roundtable, contestant Anna received quite a few votes labelling her as a traitor, including a somewhat tactical vote from traitor Linda who gave her reasoning as: “You don’t have to be a sailor to know you have to tie a rope, sorry” referring to the mission they completed earlier in the day.
Fans flocked to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on Anna’s name suddenly being thrown around. @danidelle23 wrote: “Everyone talking about Anna being a traitor and I’m like WHO?!” @nicola_dEU joked: “I thought she was merely a ghost of the castle.”
@SophLouiseHall added: “I’m sorry but I swear to god they’ve just edited Anna into this episode and pretended she was there the whole time like Dawn from Buffy”
Another user @modfl_ echoed: “These guys seriously suspecting Anna is so funny because honestly who is that”
Anna, a 28-year-old swimming teacher from Ireland, revealed she joined The Traitors as: “It’s the only TV show I’ve thought I’d be good at that! I’ve got a brain that can compartmentalise things and I can be quite personable. I think a lot of it does depend on your ability to control your emotions in that environment and your ability to get people on your side, which are two things that I think I have a bit of a skill for.”
After the roundtable, Anna decided to confront fellow faithful Dan about his vote, and said: “It’s so annoying because it is just genuinely wrong.” He responded that there’s “something he can’t get over” and his gut feeling is telling him that Anna is a traitor.
The Traitors airs every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9pm on BBC One, and is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
