The Traitors is back for its third week, and the drama is too as the episode kicked off with yet another twist. Fans “gasped” at Claudia Winkleman’s latest task that meant the faithfuls had to find the missing contestants.
Last week’s episode saw four faithfuls play “death match”, and as tonight’s episode began the cliff hanger continued as viewers still didn’t learn who was the next to be murdered. As the contestants sat at breakfast waiting for Alexander, Fozia, Anna, and Leon to return it was Claudia who waltzed into the room instead.
Viewers known that Anna and Alexander have been saved, but the faithfuls were instructed to find all four contestants and return to “the scene of the crime”.

Fans took to social media to react to the latest twist, on X (formerly known as Twitter) @raccoonsimons wrote: “the TWISTTTT i am at the edge of my seat what if they have to search the castle for the painting.” @TVqueertiques added: “Are we getting another FUNERAL” referencing Diane’s death in the last series.
@IBeChichi_ penned: “So it wasn’t enough to make them play at the dead of night now 3 of them are missing loooool” @superTV247 echoed: “OH MY GOD it’s like Diane’s funeral all over again, the entire mission leads up to death except this time WE ALSO DON’T KNOW.”
Anna was the first faithful to be found in a coffin on the grounds as the other faithfuls continued to try and work out the riddles given to them. 28-year-old Anna previously shared: “This is absolutely not something that I normally do! I initially watched The Traitors by accident, my housemates turned it on while I was waiting for my dinner to cook. Then I binge-watched nearly the whole thing in three days, I was obsessed.
It’s the only TV show I’ve thought I’d be good at that! I’ve got a brain that can compartmentalise things and I can be quite personable. I think a lot of it does depend on your ability to control your emotions in that environment and your ability to get people on your side, which are two things that I think I have a bit of a skill for.
I applied on a whim while my boyfriend was watching football. I just filled in the form, didn’t think anything of it. I cannot believe that I got chosen.”
Traitors is on at 9pm every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
