Sharing the post, the Reddit user said: “There’s always a lot of negativity on this sub, so as it’s a new year, let’s start with some positivity!
“What Blackpool attractions, views, pubs, shops, whatever, do you think are awesome and should be appreciated more?”
One user suggested Arcade Club, saying: “Arcade Club. Best part of our trip to Blackpool. Love that you can play as many games as you want for a flat fee. There is a good mix of unique games and the decor made my inner child so happy.”
Another commented: “Promenade in Bispham. Awesome view from the top, great if you’re into watching sunsets and dramatic skies, if weather allows of course.”
This Blackpool local said: “It’s underrated because it’s so new but I’m very fond of the new Backlot Cinema. The imax screens are incredible, the food at the diner is delicious, and the staff are great. Perfect for popping into town, sticking the car on charge for free at Houndshill and getting lost in cinema.
“The Hole in Wand is also really fun! Coyote Ugly Bar is all kinds of fun, and I’m sure there’s many more things I could list. I love living in Blackpool – it’s the first place to ever truly feel like home.”
If seeing a show is your favourite thing, you might like Funny Girls, as one person suggested: “Funny Girls is a fantastic night out. Some of the shows put on there are West End quality. Tea Amentes on Albert Road has the biggest tea menu I’ve ever seen, and friendly staff.”
Another person said their favourite underrated part of Blackpool was The Velvet Coaster, a Wetherspoons pub, which they said is their “favourite Wetherspoons”.
