CCTV images released after two tram station workers assaulted in three days

Police have shared images of two people they wish to speak to after two tram station workers were assaulted in three days.

Officers are investigating the two separate incidents, which took place at the Bury and Altrincham interchanges.

The first incident took place at Altrincham interchange on November 6, 2024. Greater Manchester Police says a member of transport staff was assaulted at the station at 10.45pm.

Police want to speak to the man pictured right in connection with the incident. A second attack followed at Bury interchange, on November 8, 2024.

According to GMP, a member of transport staff was assaulted at the tram stop at 5pm.

Officers want to speak to the person pictured on the left in connection with this incident. Police released the two images on Wednesday evening (January 15).

They are asking members of the public to come forward if they have any information about the two incidents, or recognise the people pictured.
