Chris McCausland reveals first major project after Strictly Come Dancing win

Chris McCausland has revealed what his next major project will be following his win on Strictly Come Dancing at the end of 2024.

The comedian became the show’s first-ever blind contestant and went onto lift the Glitterball trophy with his professional partner Dianne Buswell.

Chris will be embarking on a nationwide stand-up tour in 2025 and has also revealed the next major project he’ll be involved with.

After signing a deal with Penguin, Chris is writing a memoir, which will hit shelves in autumn and be titled My Story, Metro reports.

Following the announcement, Chris said: “I thought Strictly was terrifying, but my book has a release date, and I haven’t started writing it yet.

“Don’t worry, I’m going to start right now. It will be really funny, I promise.”

Publishing Director Rowland White said: “Like the rest of the country, I’ve been both gripped and incredibly moved by Chris and Dianne’s dazzling progress through Strictly.

“What had seemed scarcely possible quickly confounded all our preconceptions and expectations. But, of course, Strictly was only the most recent chapter of Chris’ remarkable story.

“I can’t wait for people to read it all. It’s going to be a huge pleasure and privilege for me and the whole team here at MJ to help make that happen.”

In a post announcing the memoir on Instagram, fans of Chris seemed to be quite excited by the news.

One person wrote: “Best start to 2025! I hope the strictly chapter will be titled winning is bloody everything”.
