Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford is set to be included in the matchday squad for tonight’s Premier League showdown with Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
The 27-year-old arrived at the stadium shortly before 4.30pm carrying a boot bag and listening to music. Members of the squad had started to arrive at Old Trafford at 4pm and he was one of the last to make his way through the car park and then into the players’ entrance.
Rashford has been left out of the matchday squad for each of United’s last four matches, last featuring in the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on December 12.

Earlier this month, the England international said he was “ready for a new challenge and the next steps” in an interview with journalist Henry Winter, suggesting he is keen to leave Old Trafford and test himself elsewhere. He has scored seven goals in 24 appearances for United this season.
Meanwhile, youngster Godwill Kukonki is also poised to be included in the squad this evening. The 16-year-old defender arrived at Old Trafford around 10 minutes before Rashford and he was also carrying a boot bag.
Kukonki, who can operate as both a centre-back and a left-back, has previously been included in the matchday squad on one occasion, making the bench for the 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier this month.
Other pre-match arrivals included the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.
