Viewers of the BBC business program Dragons’ Den have shared their outrage amid a ‘pointless’ celebrity guest.
Dragons’ Den returns with its 22 series and continues to see aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to five multimillionaire investors.
The BBC show has seen lots of success from pitches, with among the most famous including Levi Roots Reggae Reggae Sauce which is now worth £30 million.
As the stars of the series, Dragons’ Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett are popular with viewers.
However, the start of the new series saw mixed reactions from viewers at home when it was revealed celebrity guest, Joe Wicks would be joining the Dragons.
Dragons’ Den viewers outraged with ‘pointless’ guest
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one BBC viewer said: “Oh good #dragonsden going down the pointless celeb route Why????”
Another added: “Ugh Joe Wicks” with a third sharing: “Joe Wicks, gonna give this one a miss.”
While some Dragons’ Den viewers weren’t too happy with the guest of Joe Wicks, others were delighted.
As one BBC viewer said: “Joe Wicks is the best guest dragon they’ve had in the den, even after just 1 pitch.”
