EastEnders fans are convinced Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati is set to become the next Albert Square villain and follow in the footsteps of his evil grandfather Nish Panesar.
During Monday’s (January 13) episode of the BBC One soap, which is now available to watch on BBC iPlayer, Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) continued to meet secretly but almost get caught by Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson).
Denise invited ex Jack (Scott Maslen) and the rest of Brannings to celebrate Raymond Dawkins’ ( Michael Jose Pomares Calixte) birthday and Nigel Bates (Paul Bradley) angled for Phil Mitchel (Steve McFadden) to go along to his son’s party.
At the bash, Ravi appeared to get jealous of Jack and Phil clashed with Denise, who was furious with his selfish behaviour.

Later, as Ravi and Denise stole another moment together, Nugget (Juhaim Rasul Chowdhry) caught them kissing. Fans have since taken to social media to predict that bosses are lining up the youngster to become the next villain.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: “The writers are definitely setting Nugget up to be the New Nish #BabyNish #NishJunior #Eastenders.
Another added: “Nugget is still trying to be a little Nish wannabe, I see #eastenders.” A third person agreed: “Nugget has turned into Nish 2.0 #eastenders.”

Nugget has been struggling in the aftermath of his grandfather Nish’s death. Prior to Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) and Eve Unwin’s (Heather Peace) wedding, Nugget was paying regular visits to Nish, who had escaped from prison and was hiding out in a flat in Walford.
As well as bringing Nish food and water, Nugget fell victim to his manipulative ways. Nish managed to convince the teen to assist in a plan that made it look as though he had ended his life so he could get to ex Suki and Eve’s wedding and attempt to put a stop to it.

Nish’s plan saw him poison Eve and then hold Suki hostage on a balcony. When Ravi arrived, he was wound up by his dad enough so he pushed him over the edge, but Ravi failed to realise Nish was holding onto Suki’s dress, meaning she fell with him.
Suki survived the fall but Nish didn’t and while most of the Walford residents are glad to see the back of the abusive man, Nugget and Ravi are processing the enormity of what happened a little differently.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One and available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am
