The four managing partners at a Cumbria-based accountancy firm have amassed 125 years of combined service with the company.
The senior partners at Saint & Co all began their careers at the company in the 1990s.
Stuart Farrer, Ian Thompson, and Andrew Liddle joined the firm between 1990 and 1992, with Lindsay Farrer following in 1998.
The company now operates from ten offices across Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway.
Mr Farrer, who works from the firm’s Carlisle headquarters, said: “There is an ongoing joke within Saint & Co that when you join the company, you never leave, and the collective service of our four managing partners proves there is some truth in that.
“Creating a friendly and welcoming working environment has resulted in excellent staff retention over the years, and having such great colleagues is one of the most enjoyable things about working at Saint & Co.”
His career with the firm started in 1990, and he has since established himself as a figure in the Cumbrian business community, assisting a variety of businesses, particularly charities.
Mr Thompson joined the company in 1991 and has since worked with a wide range of businesses, from small startups to established enterprises, specialising in hospitality, tourism, and academies.
He splits his time between the Ambleside and Penrith offices.
Mr Liddle, who joined the company in 1992, leads the Penrith team and provides expertise in accountancy software Xero, in addition to business assistance and tax guidance.
Ms Farrer, who joined in 1998 and works from the Carlisle office, provides general accountancy services and tax advice, as well as overseeing the sale and purchase of numerous businesses.
She said: “Spending the past quarter of a century working at a company I love has been so rewarding, and it’s been amazing to be part of such a great journey which has seen the company expand rapidly.
“As a company, we now employ around 120 members of staff and a further 10 partners.
“Some of the team have been at the company for longer than the managing partners, while many are just starting their careers and we look forward to supporting their development at the company for decades to come.”
Saint & Co was established by John Jackson Saint in 1884 and celebrated its 140th anniversary in 2024.
