One of the Premier League’s big guns will be exiting the FA Cup early as Arsenal hosts Manchester United in an all-star third round tie.

The visitors are defending the trophy they won last season, although they couldn’t have been given a much more difficult start to their cup journey this year as they take on an Arsenal side still in the hunt in four competitions.

Arsenal are of course Liverpool’s closest challengers in the Premier League, although their hopes of silverware this season took a huge blow in midweek after they lost the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final 2-0 to Newcastle, with the return leg at St James’ Park still to come.

Mikel Arteta will be keen to put that defeat behind him, although he finds himself coming up against a United side on a high after they managed to claim a draw at Anfield last weekend.

Ruben Amorim will be hoping his side can produce a similar performance today, and take the first step toward another final at Wembley. Here’s everything you need to know if you want to watch the game in the US or the UK.

How to watch the game

Arsenal vs Manchester United is scheduled to kick off at 3pm UK time. For US fans, that means the action gets underway at 10am ET or 7am PT.

Fans in the UK will be able to watch the game live on BBC One, with coverage getting underway at 2:35pm, while the game can also be streamed live on BBC iPlayer. Supporters in the US can stream the game via ESPN+.

Team news

Arsenal is still without Bukayo Saka, with the England international facing a long spell on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a hamstring problem. Ethan Nwaneri remains out as well, meaning the Gunners’ options on the right are limited.

Ben White is another long-term absentee, while today’s game looks as though it will come too early for Takehiro Tomiyasu, who is nearing a return.

As for United, Luke Shaw, Mason Mount and Victor Lindelof remain out, while all eyes will be on whether Marcus Rashford earns a place in the squad as he’s linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
