Liverpool can strengthen its title hopes on Tuesday, while simultaneously weakening a major rival in the process.
Arne Slot was keen to state that Nottingham Forest is in the race for first place ahead of Liverpool’s trip to the City Ground and it’s becoming difficult to argue with that view as the Midlands club sit six points off top.
But with Liverpool having a game in hand, a victory on Tuesday night would all but feel like a 12-point gap to the side in third place, while an Arsenal slip-up in the North London derby and suddenly the Reds will have established a huge gap.
