Latest Atomfall gameplay trailer gives players a taste of what to expect

There’s plenty of mystery and intrigue to be found in the world of Atomfall as the latest trailer for this upcoming game dives deep into the characters and setting.

Rebellion, the game studio behind Atomfall, has just released a new seven minute long gameplay trailer that gives players an in-depth look at what to expect.

Atomfall is a single-player survival action game set in a fictionalised quarantine zone five years after the 1957 Windscale disaster.

Your character wakes up with no idea where they are, from there, it is your job to unpack the layers of mystery that surrounds the disaster.

The new trailer showcases what players can look forward to when they get their hands on it.

We can see what the crafting and skills portions of the game look like and how they will help players to determine their own path and play style – stealthily, guns blazing, a law abiding citizen, or someone just trying to survive.

Along your journey, you’ll pick up key items that will enable you to make medicine and weapons as well as training manuals that will boost your skills in four categories: melee and ranged combat, survival, and conditioning.

Players are also shown what they can expect from combat which is focused on ranged and melee with firearms included too.

Cricket bats, pistols, rifles, and bows and arrows are among the weapons available to wield against humans, robots, and feral monsters.

But, if you’re more interested in exploring the quarantine zone in the Lake District, this offers a pretty good insight.

From the rolling countryside that we’re familiar with and picturesque villages being run by a military group to the underground caverns that have morphed into something unfamiliar by the radiation.

One thing is clear, there’s a lot for players to sink their teeth into in Atomfall.

Release date: Atomfall is set to be released on March 27.

Where to play: It will be available on different platforms including Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation 4 and 5.
