Liverpool will face Everton in the rearranged Merseyside derby on February 12, with a 19:30 GMT kick-off (14:30 ET).
The Premier League confirmed the news on Monday with the initial game postponed on 7 December due to adverse weather conditions.
Given Liverpool’s fixture pile-up, finding a new date was always going to be a challenge, and the team’s involvement in four competitions hasn’t helped. But the match has been squeezed in during a Champions League week, one Liverpool almost definitely won’t be involved in as it sits six points clear of ninth place with two games remaining, and should therefore bypass the play-offs.

In confirming the news, the Premier League added a minor caveat: “This date remains subject to Liverpool not being involved in the UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoffs by finishing in the top eight of the league phase. This is all-but guaranteed as they lead the table with a perfect record of six wins from six, with two fixtures remaining.”
The derby, which will be shown on TNT Sports in the UK, will now be played in between Liverpool’s FA Cup trip to Plymouth Argyle – which will now likely be on 9 February – and before the home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on 16 February. It also extends Liverpool’s run of seven weeks un a row with midweek matches.
The match will be the final Merseyside derby at Goodison Park ahead of Everton’s move to its new stadium at Bramley Moor Dock. The game also has added significance given David Moyes’ return to the club last week, nearly 12 years on from his first stint as manager concluding.
The 61-year-old replaced Sean Dyche following a run of five Premier League matches without victory. The Toffees are currently 16th in the table and just a point clear of the relegation zone.
Everton won the last meeting between the sides when Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in a 2-0 win at Goodison that proved to be a major blow for Liverpool’s title hopes. Prior to that, Liverpool’s last defeat away to Everton came in 2010 when Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta got on the scoresheet.
