Liverpool defenders Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley made their return from injury against Manchester United with the pair appearing to come through unscathed. Konate played the full 90 minutes while Bradley entered the field near the end.

With those two now back, Liverpool only has one player absent through injury: Joe Gomez. An exact return date for the center-back is not yet clear but he will be missing for a while with the muscle injury that forced him off against West Ham United. “He is out for a few weeks, that’s for sure,” Arne Slot said last week during a press conference.

Federico Chiesa is available again and was selected on the bench over the weekend. He will surely be handed another start next weekend with the visit of Accrington Stanley.

Dominik Szoboszlai sat out the 2-2 draw with Manchester United through illness. The Hungarian could be back for the midweek trip to Tottenham — Slot is likely to be asked about him during his press conference on Tuesday.

And Darwin Nunez, while he will be eligible to play against Spurs (Carabao Cup) and Accrington (FA Cup), will have to sit out the trip to Nottingham Forest after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season against Manchester United.

Liverpool.com says: Slot has done well so far to keep everyone fit for as long as possible. Players like Harvey Elliott, who haven’t featured much yet this season, could yet play their part too. Diogo Jota, for instance, must be nearing his first start since coming back from his rib injury. Slot has managed everyone carefully and whatever he is doing appears to be working.
