“Heavy rainfall” has caused “significant flooding and disruption” across Greater Manchester, according to the Bee Network.
Conditions have wreaked havoc across Metrolink services, buses, trains and roads.
On Metrolink East Didsbury / Manchester Airport lines there is no service between Shaw and Crompton and Rochdale Town Centre, due to flooding.
Tickets and passes can be used on the 59, 83, 409 and 471 buses.
Flooding also means there is no service between Firswood and Trafford Bar on the Rochdale Line.
There is also no service between Wythenshawe Town Centre and Manchester Airport.
Tickets and passes can be used on the 42, 85 and 86 bus services.
The A555 M56, J6-8, A34 Handforth Bypass, A34 Kingsway, White Carr Lane, Wythenshawe, Wilmslow Road, Cheadle, Manchester Old Road, Middleton, and Tiviot Way, Stockport, are all closed.
Other minor are also affected by flooding and drivers are being reminded to exercise caution.
For buses, the 52 – Barton Lane (Eccles) is blocked by a stranded vehicle. The service is rerouted to Liverpool Road to reach the Trafford Centre / Eccles.
The 59 is also affected, this is due to flooding on Manchester Old Road, at the junction of Armitage Close, the 59 service is diverting via Manchester New Road – Victoria Avenue – Middleton Road in both directions.
The 156 is also affected by flooding on Manchester Old Road, at the junction of Armitage Close, the 156 service is diverting via Manchester New Road – Victoria Avenue – Middleton Road in both directions.
Waterloo Street is also closed due to flooding, with the 156 diverting via Factory Lane – Rochdale Road – Harpurhey Road in both directions.
Disruption is expected until midday on the rail network.
Trains between Manchester and Chester, Manchester and New Mills Central, and Manchester and Sheffield are currently unable to run.
Due to a lack of availability and surrounding roads also being flooded, no replacement road transport will be provided at this time.
Flooding between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly means that all lines are disrupted.
Your ticket can be used at no extra cost between Crewe and Manchester Piccadilly via Stockport.
Ticket restrictions have been lifted during this disruption, however no replacement bus is operational.
Flooding between Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester Oxford Road means all trains running between the stations are expected to be cancelled this morning.
Flooding between Rose Hill Marple and Manchester Piccadilly, and Walsden and Todmorden, has led to the same issue.
Flooding at Walsden means the line between Todmorden and Rochdale is blocked. Trains running between these stations will be cancelled. Disruption is expected until 12:00.
Trains between Blackburn and Salford Crescent will also not run
