Manchester City conceded twice in the final 15 minutes to draw 2-2 with Brentford in the Premier League.

It was set to be three Premier League victories in a row and four in all competitions with the resurgence under Pep Guardiola starting to feel more concrete. Brentford troubled City for spells in the game to make for an entertaining game but two Phil Foden goals in the second half put City in control.

Yoane Wissa got one back in the last ten minutes to set up a nervy finish and just when thee Blues looked to have held on they allowed Christian Norgaard to head in an equaliser in injury time. Here’s how the players rated.

Ortega: He kept cool under pressure for much of the game and made a decent save in the second half to preserve the lead, but fumbled in the equaliser. 6

Nunes: If only he could finish! That first-half fluff and a few wobbles did not detract from a performance of energy and muscle. 7

Akanji: Improved on recent matches, looking fresher as he powered forward into midfield but then lost Norgaard for the equaliser. 6

Ake: Two brilliant goalline clearances topped another impressive game, but he will be disappointed to concede late on. 8

Gvardiol: Tested regularly by the lively Mbuemo but held his own and made a terrific block. 7

Kovacic: Still gives the team too many scares when in possession in his own half, although he improved as the game went on. 6

Silva: He does so much that doesn’t get attention but is vital to City and this was another priceless shift. 7

De Bruyne: Everything dangerous went through him and it was a terrific assist for the first goal. Another who looked fresher. 8

Foden: City’s main man for the first time in a long time. One lovely finish, one opportunistic. 8

Savinho: A key part in both goals and the determination to keep on going after earlier efforts had not gone in. 8

Haaland: He missed a few chances to get on the scoresheet but contributed to the team threat in attack. 7
