Manchester United escaped a potential Premier League disaster on Thursday night as Amad’s 12 minute hat-trick secured a 3-1 win over Southampton.
United went 1-0 down in the first-half courtesy of a Manuel Ugarte own goal but Ruben Amorim’s men showed resilience and fight to turn the game around. Amad scored three times in a crazy 12 minute period at Old Trafford to ease concerns.
Goals in the 82nd, 90th and 94th minute concluded a personal milestone for Amad. However, there were problems throughout the game that will leave Amorim furious ahead of the weekend’s game with Brighton.
