Manchester Airport delayed and cancelled flights on Monday, January 6

Manchester Airport is experiencing delays to flight schedules today, January 6 after it was forced to close runways this morning due to heavy snow.

The runways reopened shortly after 7am this morning after the snow was cleared and flights have now resumed. Passengers are urged to monitor the status of their flight closely.

In a statement shared on X, the airport said: “Our runways are now open but, as a result of the earlier closure, some departures and arrivals may still experience delays.

“Please check with your airline for the latest flight information and allow extra time for your journey today. We would like to thank our teams for their hard work in getting the runways operational again.
