Manchester United left back Luke Shaw is set to return from injury within the next two weeks.
Shaw has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for over a month but head coach Ruben Amorim suggested the 29-year-old could be available for selection in January.

There is still no timeframe on Mason Mount’s return, though. Mount has been absent since he was forced off early in the first half of the Manchester derby win at City on December 15.
“Luke Shaw is nearer than Mason Mount,” Amorim said. “He will take a little bit longer. But for sure, Luke, we will see in the next week or two. We will see if he’s returning.”
Amorim clarified that the injury-prone Mount should play again this season. Mount has appeared in 33 games out of a possible 83 since he joined United from Chelsea for £60million in July 2023.
Lisandro Martinez is expected to be available for the Southampton match despite struggling towards the end of extra time in United’s FA Cup third round epic at Arsenal on Sunday. Martinez moved up front as he was unable to run in the final stages.
Diogo Dalot is suspended after his red card against Arsenal and Victor Lindelof is also unavailable through injury.
