Aaditya Thackeray meets BMC Chief Bhushan Gagrani, demands transparency in civic projects | X

Mumbai: With the BMC elections approaching, Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray met BMC Chief Bhushan Gagrani on Friday to discuss various civic issues. He alleged irregularities in the Rs 6,000 crore road contract and Rs 263 crore street furniture project, demanding that the inquiry reports be made public for transparency and accountability.

Thackeray shared the details of his meeting with the Municipal Commissioner in a social media post. During the meeting, he discussed several key issues, including the water shortage, delays in the opening of the coastal road, the inquiry into the road contract, and the BMC should demand Rs 16,000 crores owed by the State Government to fund BEST and other services for Mumbaikars.

He wrote on X, “Mumbaikars face water issues—low pressure, insufficient supply, and pollution. The BMC must address this transparently. The Coastal Road, a dream project of Uddhav Thackeray, would have been completed by December 2023 under our government, but the current regime delayed it. We demand the immediate opening of the remaining stretch.” Thackeray further claimed, “The road scam was the most blatant one, which I have exposed. I repeated my demand for a free and fair inquiry into these two scams.”
