A BAND from Orford have released their first official single ahead of their opening set at Neighbourhood Weekender later this year.
The Bemonts are band based in Orford that formed two and a half years ago and is made up of four members.
The band’s singer Dave Collins, 42, and bassist Adam Barnett, 42, met at Beamont Collegiate Academy on Long Lane.
The childhood friends decided to turn their love of music into reality when they formed the Americana-rock band with Glenn Trowson, 32, and Liam Winterbottom, 25.
The band has been working hard and performing at a variety of shows since then, including Warrington Music Festival.
Last year, The Bemonts launched a campaign to perform at Neighbourhood Weekender in May.
Their hard work was successful, and the group are set to open the Viola Beach stage.
“We’re beyond excited to be opening such a massive festival,” said Glenn, lead guitarist.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for us, and we’re so grateful to our fans for supporting us this far.”

Gearing up for the festival, The Bemonts have released their first official single – Borderline.
“The release marks a significant moment in our musical journey,” said Glenn.
“It combines our signature sound with a raw, emotional depth that we hope will resonate with listeners far and wide.”
The band say that Borderline is open to interpretation by listeners, but that it primarily explores the theme of loss.
“The song explores the complex emotions of a broken relationship, weaving feelings of heartache, uncertainty and hope,” said Glenn.
“While Borderline is deeply personal for us, we really wanted to create something that people could connect to in their own way.
“It’s about loss, but also about the possibility of moving forward – whatever that might look like for each listener.”
Borderline is now available on all major streaming platforms.
