Paul Pogba seems determined to get his football career back on track, with the former Manchester United midfielder approaching the date he is allowed to return from his 18-month ban.
Without a club currently, finding a new place to play is Pogba’s main target amid the January transfer window. He isn’t officially allowed to play until March, but has resumed training in preparation for his return.
And the reason the Frenchman has been out of action was of course his ban for breaking anti-doping laws. When formerly with Juventus – the club he joined after his second spell at Man United – he was slapped with a four-year ban, which was later reduced to 18 months.

Pogba’s latest activity has now been seen on social media. Passionate about coming back to the sport, doing what seems to be running in a swimming pool to help build fitness, he wrote: “Stay hungry!”
Throughout recent months, since it has been known the midfielder will be coming back sooner than expected, he has been linked with numerous clubs.
That includes rumours of a third spell at Old Trafford, though Ruben Amorim is unlikely to invest when he has other areas of his new squad to tend to if possible this month.
Therefore, other Premier League teams have been named as possible destinations, as have clubs in France and across the continent. The general consensus is that Pogba wishes to return to playing at the highest possible level, rather than securing a deal with a club in the United States or Saudi Arabia, for example.
