It has been fun in the snow for many today as Bolton was transformed into a winter wonderland.
Many enjoyed a traditional snow day, with winter walks and sledging taking place across the borough, with many deciding to leave the car at home.

Some local businesses were forced to close as a result of the snow and there were some issues o the road, with residents warning which areas to avoid.
There were issues on public transport today.
And Bolton Council have been completed full grits throughout Bolton.

The snow is set to wash away this evening, with rain already falling in places.
Weather this evening is rain throughout the night, turning into sleet in the early hours according to The Met Office.

Temperatures will struggle to get above 1 degrees, with sleet showers throughout the day.
The snow comes just days after the borough experienced a major incident with heavy rainfall.
