Mountain rescue teams were called out to the same reservoir in two days to help another walker who had suffered a leg injury.
Members of Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue were scrambled just after 2pm on Thursday after being called to assist the North West Ambulance Service.
The woman had slipped and suffered a leg injury close to Greenbooth Reservoir, Norden.
A Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue spokesperson said: “As initial team members arrived at the location, the ambulance crew were also making their way to the casualty.
“The casualty was provided with pain relief and the leg was splinted by the ambulance crew.
“As the team equipment arrived on scene the casualty was loaded into a large sleeping bag to stay warm, before being transferred onto our Bell Stretcher and Wheel for extraction along the path back to the awaiting ambulance.”
