Ryanair issues warning to passengers over flight ‘disruption’

Ryanair has warned passengers of “potential disruption” to flights on Tuesday, January 7 as snow continues to cause travel disruption across the country.

Both Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport had to close their runways in the early hours of the morning to clear snow. Both have now reopened but flight schedules have been impacted.

Several flights at Manchester Airport have been cancelled today, including services to London, Sweden and Belgium. Dozens more have been delayed.

“We regret any inconvenience caused to passengers by these weather conditions, which is outside of Ryanair’s control and affects all airlines operating to/from the UK on Tuesday 7 January.”

Jet2 has also warned passengers that its flights are experiencing “severe delays”. In a statement the airline said: “The overnight snowfall across the UK has resulted in temporary closures of many UK airports, our Operations teams are working closely with our airport partners to get you on your way as soon as possible, however our flights are experiencing severe delays in some parts of the UK.” The airline added that it took the decision to move several flights operating to and from Leeds Bradford Airport from yesterday, January 6, to today, January 7.
