Rylan Clark returned to his BBC Radio 2 show this weekend after taking some time out to perform in panto over the festive period, and it wasn’t long before the presenter was grilled on his love life.
The conversation was sparked after Rylan played Romeo by Basement Jaxx, prompting him to quiz his co-star, Sally Boazman, on whether or not she has a “Romeo” in her life.
“It’s up to me to know that and for you to find out,” Sally cryptically replied, before Rylan interjected: “Well, I’m trying to find out! Have you got a Romeo on the go? I haven’t! Have you got one for me? That’s what I’m more interested in.”

Sally then chuckled and said: “Yours and mine wouldn’t match, I don’t think, you’re not having mine anyway!” Rylan then celebrated as he realised he’d discovered the gossip he was looking for, exclaiming: “Oh, so she has got a Romeo on the go! See, honestly, I should be like an interrogator.”

The former X Factor star then suggested he was keen to meet someone, as he cheekily added: “If you’ve got anyone for me, just let me know, yeah? I’m in that mood, you know like new year, I wish I had a little texter.”
Sally then admitted she “didn’t understand” why Rylan, who got divorced from his ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021, hasn’t got a man in his life yet, adding: “Why can you not find yourself a lovely, lovely other half? Because you’re so lovely!”
Rylan confessed: “I don’t know where they are! I smell nice, I try my hardest…” before Sally interjected: “You look great, you’ve got fantastic clothes.”
Continuing his list of attributes, the BBC host then quipped: “I’ve got a couple of quid, what is wrong with me?”

Rylan then pondered of his famous smile: “Maybe they’re frightened of the teeth!” Sally reassured her co-star: “The mind boggles, but [the teeth] are part of you now, we’re all used to them now.”
The ex-Big Brother star has been single since his marriage split a few years ago, but recently sparked romance rumours involving his Grand Tour co-host Rob Rinder, due to their on-screen chemistry during their travel show.
Viewers became convinced that the pair were together after they filmed their BBC Two programme, and Rylan admitted they act “like a married couple”.
Appearing on the Table Manners podcast with hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware, the star shut down the romance rumours by saying: “I find it funny because I adore him, but we are like a married couple; we row all the time and we don’t have sex.”
