Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim believes he has seen an improvement in his squad in training this week ahead of Sunday’s trip to Anfield to face Liverpool.

However, the Portuguese chief appears to be confident that his team will soon start to improve amid the time he has been able to have on the training ground in preparation for the trip to Anfield. But having had almost a week to prepare for the clash with Arne Slot’s side, Amorim is hopeful it will make a difference to his team’s performance, insisting he has sensed a feeling of improvement over the last few days.
Asked how training has been this week, Amorim, speaking to MUTV, said: “Really good. It’s so much different when you, for example, have two trainings [sessions] to have everybody, to explain the idea, to work on the little things, and you are happier.
“You feel that you are improving and that is the feeling that I have had this week. Let’s see on the game.”
United are poised to make the trip to Anfield without Marcus Rashford through illness. Jonny Evans will definitely be missing, likewise Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw.
“I think Rashford is ill,” Amorim added. “Jonny is out. I think the rest – Vic is almost there and Luke also. But they are out. The others, I think, are fit.”
