A driver who ‘brought attention to themselves’ ended up having their car seized by police. Officers spotted the black sports car being driven through Manchester city centre on Sunday (January 12).
According to Greater Manchester Police, the driver’s ‘manner of driving’ aroused officers’ suspicion. They were also unimpressed by ‘excessive noise’ coming from the vehicle.
An image shared by GMP Traffic on X shows the car stopped on Medlock Street, near to the Mancunian Way. The image also appears to show the car without a front number plate.

Police carried out checks on the car and its driver, who was found to have been behind the wheel without insurance. The car was seized by GMP and the driver was reported.
A GMP Traffic spokesperson said: “This driver brought attention to themselves due to their manner of driving and excessive noise. Stopped on Medlock Street by GMP Mototcycle Unit. Turns out they had no insurance either. Vehicle seized. Driver reported.”
