Talented self-taught photographer from Orford captures incredible shot of Padgate fox

A TALENTED self-taught photographer from Warrington captured this incredible photograph in Padgate.

On Saturday, Sophie Luby headed to a location where her friend had spotted foxes the day before.

When she got to the area, two local people told her that two foxes come out between 12-3pm most days.

Much to Sophie’s delight, they did in fact come out in the snow and she was able to capture some incredible footage of them.

“One is very friendly and will come right up to you, but the other was a bit more shy,” she explained.

“The confident one came right up to me, I had my short lens on my camera, but even that wasn’t short enough.”

Sophie has built up an impressive following for her wildlife photography.

She boasts nearly 50,000 followers on Instagram.

The Orford resident initially picked up the hobby more than two years ago after she spotted a woodpecker near to her home which led to her digging out an old camera.

From here, Sophie’s interest and passion for wildlife photograph quickly developed.

She has even received a letter from Sir David Attenborough himself after she shared incredible photographs of a kingfisher landing on her head.

Most recently, Sophie visited Costa Rica and manged to capture some footage of some hummingbirds which have been at the top of her list to photograph.

This year, she is aiming to photograph all UK owl species in just one day.
