A haircut can make all the difference to your appearance, yet for some, it takes time to decide on a new style.
Now a teen who hasn’t changed his hairstyle for ages sought help from Richmond Barber. In a now viral TikTok video shared with his 1.7 million followers, @nguyensteadycutting showcased the lad’s dramatic change.
The clip starts with the youngster admitting: “I kind of look homeless…” He is then questioned by the barber: “Whose idea was it to let you wear your hair like this?”

Next the boy responds: “Not really any, kind of like a let it do what it wants. See where it gets me, I think it’s finally catching up with me.” He adds: “My parents keep telling me I look like that dude from Scooby Doo, Shaggy. It’s rough sometimes.
“I think I need to do something with it, new year, new me. Honestly I don’t really know what I want. I kind of want a special thing.”

Seconds later, the barber gets to work to show off the teenager’s dramatic transformation. Asking him how he feels before the big reveal, the man replies: “I’m nervous… Holy s***. That is totally different. Wow. That’s fire. I love it. That’s crazy.”
Even his mum thinks he looks good as she can’t recognise him after the transformation. The teenager went from rocking a shaggy hairdo to donning a textured fringe with a mid fade.
The barber made sure he left enough hair to fit the head shape. So now whether it’s straight, wavy or curly, the style can still look good for his client. Since the video was shared, it garnered 33,700 likes and over 300 comments from fans.
One wrote: “His parents are going to be happy.” While another added: “The way my jaw dropped.” A third commented: “He went from looking like a young Woody Alan to a guy that looks so handsome.”
Someone else chimed in: “I love seeing the chain, amazing makeover.” Others were relieved the client liked the do and that it truly boosted his confidence.
