Two arrested after police dog helps find ‘stolen van keys’ and weapons

Two people were arrested after a raid – with a police dog helping to find “numerous suspected stolen van keys” and weapons.

A search warrant was carried out at a property in Heywood on Thursday in which police dog (PD) Wilf used his skills after a “purpose-built void” was found.

As well as the keys, “numerous items linked to drug dealing” were discovered in the floor of the void along with a vehicle scanner, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.

The force also said another nearby void was found and it contained weapons.

Following the search, two people were arrested.
