Unmissable live music events coming to Carlisle in 2025

Carlisle is set to come alive in 2025 with a sensational lineup of music events that promise something for every taste.

From local talent to international legends, the city’s stages will host a variety of performances that showcase diverse genres and styles.

Kicking off the year, Eden’s Daughter, a hard-rocking five-piece band from Cumbria, will perform on January 18 at The Brickyard.

With a mix of original tracks and classic covers, they are set to deliver a powerful live set.

On January 24, The Brickyard transforms into The Temple of Prog, featuring five progressive rock bands, including Spriggan Mist and the iconic Crazy World of Arthur Brown, for a day-long celebration of the genre.

February heats up with a triple bill on the 21st at The Brickyard, featuring Wonk Unit, Almighty Uprisers, and Dead Wet Things, promising a high-energy mix of punk, ska, and reggae.

Kids’ TV stars Dick and Dom bring their chaotic DJ set, In Da Noughties, to the Old Fire Station on February 28, delivering a night of rave tunes and 2000s nostalgia.

March brings Smoove & Turrell, the northern funk superstars, to the Old Fire Station on the 7th, followed by Tony Christie’s Great Farewell tour on the 13th, during which fans can expect a night of timeless hits, including the classic ‘Is This the Way to Amarillo’.

April features The Meteors on the 13th, pioneers of the psychobilly genre, and a thrilling Battle of the Bands competition on the 17th at the Old Fire Station.

The month continues with Los Fastidios, Gimp Fist, and The Afflicted on April 18, bringing their unique blend of punk and ska to The Brickyard.

May is packed with performances, starting with indie legends The Farm on the 3rd, followed by Huey Morgan on the 16th, and a return by Crash Test Dummies on the 21st.

Inspiral Carpets headline the Old Fire Station’s 10th-anniversary celebrations on the 22nd, while Craig Charles takes over with a funk and soul DJ set on the 23rd.

June highlights include China Crisis on the 14th, celebrating 40 years of their seminal album Flaunt the Imperfection.

As autumn arrives, the Bay City Rollers bring their tartan-infused nostalgia to Carlisle on October 17.

Finally, December sees Lindisfarne, the legendary folk-rock pioneers, grace the stage on the 4th, promising a memorable evening of classic hits.

With such a varied programme, Carlisle in 2025 is shaping up to be the best year and place for live music.
