Warrington’s Primark store reopens following unforeseen issue

THE Primark store in Warrington town centre has reopened today, Tuesday.

The Golden Square Shopping Centre store was closed to shoppers yesterday, Tuesday, due to an ‘unforeseen’ issue.

Golden Square said in a social media post that the temporary closure was due to ‘current weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances’.

Primark issued a statement confirming the reasons for the closure of the town centre store – and gave an update on trading hours going forward.

Now, the fashion chain has confirmed that the Warrington store has reopened as of today, Tuesday.

In a statement yesterday, a Primark spokesman said: “We can confirm that our Warrington store is closed today, Monday, due to flooding resulting from a burst pipe.

“We are really sorry to any customers who had hoped to shop with us today.

“We are working hard to resolve this and hope to reopen the store tomorrow morning, Tuesday.”

It was reported previously that Warrington Bus Station has also closed due to a burst pipe, with videos showing water pouring into the building from the ceiling, with the interchange also now reopen.

In its social media post, Golden Square said: “Due to current weather conditions, and unforeseen circumstances in store, Primark will be closed today, Monday, temporarily.

“You can still order online for their click-and-collect service. Thank you in advance for your understanding.”
