A woman has been arrested after a huge cannabis farm was uncovered in the loft of a home in Bolton. Police raised the house on Arthur Street, in Little Lever on Sunday morning (January 5).
Despite ‘sophisticated attempts’ to hide the grow, which appeared to be set up in a loft, officers stormed the property and found the sizeable farm up a ladder on the upper floor.
A woman, aged 40, was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and abstraction of electricity. She currently remains in custody for questioning.

“Despite sophisticated attempts to conceal its location and access points, a cannabis farm was located inside the address, consisting of approximately 40 plants. The electricity also appeared to have been bypassed.
“A female, aged 40, has been arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis and abstraction of electricity. She remains in custody for questioning.”
